*this picture is from Feb. 2015 at my sister’s wedding, hence the fancy clothes and great quality. =)
I am a wife and mother of four. My family and I moved from Oklahoma to Florida in 2010 to be a part of a group of people who are learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ together. This experience has rocked our world and changed our lives. The Jesus we have come to know and love is so much more than we ever could imagine. He fills up our spirits and our desire for Him only grows. Jesus Christ is LIFE. Truly.
In 2014 we left Florida and headed to California to spend a season with some church planters. They graciously trained us for 16 months to establish churches by allowing us to watch and then partner with them as they planted three churches in California. They continue to mentor us and in September 2015 we moved to Texas to establish a church with another brother who also trained with us in California.
To manage all this traveling around, we live in a fifth wheel. It’s a bit unconventional, but we have found some unexpected gifts of living small and mobile. Our oldest, Caleb, is a junior. He began his first job this fall at Randall’s grocery store and loves computer animation. Joshua is a freshman, loves Pokemon, and has been teaching himself to draw. Isaac is in sixth grade, builds amazing lego creations, and has an entrepreneurial spirit. Micaiah (Mi-kay-uh) is in fourth grade and loves to sing and dance. We homeschool. (just in case you hadn’t figured that out yet)
I started blogging in 2007 but quit blogging here regularly in 2014 because we were in transition and I wasn’t quite sure what our life was going to look like, or if personal blogging was going to be in my future. Now, it’s a new season for our family and for this blog. I have removed all my previous posts and am starting fresh; giving “Love, Bridget” a reboot. I might occasionally bring one back from the archives, but mostly the blog will be about where we are now. Whatever season we’re in, however, my heart’s desire is to know my Lord. He alone is my pursuit. I’m thrilled to partner with you on The Journey.
“I have asked one thing from the Lord, it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the Lord and seeking Him in His temple.” -King David, Psalm 27:4
